A number of roads have been closed in Edinburgh city centre due to a "serious road traffic incident".
Cowgate, Blair Street, Guthrie Street and Candlemaker Road have all been closed off to traffic as police and emergency services respond to the incident.
Police Scotland said officers responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at about 7.30pm on Saturday.
Enquiries are ongoing, the force added.
Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area until further notice.
