TWO Haddington restaurants are getting into the festive spirit early by helping the town’s Lammermuir Larder.
The Waterside Bistro and Mazzoli at The Tyneside have joined forces with the community group for ‘Eat Out and Help Out’.
During the month of November, both restaurants will donate £1 per food bill to the Lammermuir Larder, while donations can also be made.
The restaurants also ran a similar campaign to support the food initiative last year.
The larder was set up to support individuals and families in the Haddington area who are struggling financially to feed themselves or their families.
A spokesperson for the Lammermuir Larder, which is based on Haddington’s Church Street, said: “We are delighted that both restaurants have decided to support us in this way again, we are extremely grateful.
“By supporting the larder, these restaurants are also helping some of the most vulnerable people in the Haddington and Lammermuir area; we can't thank them enough.”
