ROADWORKS in the centre of Haddington could be in place until the end of next week.

Temporary traffic lights have been set up on Hardgate, Sidegate and Church Street.

Lengthy queues were visible yesterday (Wednesday), with traffic queued back over the neighbouring junction of Market Street, Hardgate and Victoria Terrace.

A spokesperson for East Lothian Council confirmed that the utility works were tied into sewer repairs.

The works, including parking suspension, are due to be complete by next Saturday (November 9).
