FANS can meet The Addams Family for some Halloween fun at Loretto Theatre in Musselburgh from this evening (Thursday) until Saturday.
The Brunton is in partnership with professional theatre maker David Ross, as its youth cast bring to life a “hilarious musical theatre extravaganza” based on the much-loved characters created by American cartoonist Charles Addams.
A Brunton spokesperson said: “The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family.
"Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met.
"Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.”
Supported by a professional production team, the cast have been hard at work bringing this ‘spooktacular’ musical to life. With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, the ensemble is “ready to enchant audiences with their captivating performances and spirited renditions”.
“The Addams Family promises to deliver an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, song and a touch of the macabre. Audiences can look forward to a delightful blend of humour and heart as the young actors bring the Addams family’s peculiar charm to the stage,” said the spokesperson.
They added: “With a dedication to excellence and a passion for creativity, this production is set to be a highlight of the season, showcasing the incredible talent and enthusiasm of young people from East Lothian and the surrounding area.”
The show starts at 7.30pm. The Brunton box office is on 0131 653 5245.
