PRESTONPANS Community Council is preparing to say "au revoir" to its treasurer as he gets ready to move to France in the New Year.
The group's AGM took place last Tuesday, with the chair, vice-chair and secretary all staying in their current positions.
However, the community council is now looking for a new treasurer as Anthony Leach, treasurer since 2022, will stand down when the position is filled – and revealed he has immediate plans to move to France in January.

No current member of the community council volunteered to take on the role at the AGM.
Mr Leach said: "I am stepping down and am actually leaving the area, moving to France in the New Year, so won't be here anymore.
"I can give any support that is needed and can even do that remotely as long as it is required, but after January I wont be able to come to meetings... easily, that is."
DJ Johnston-Smith, chairperson, thanked Mr Leach for his contributions and paid tribute to community councillors for their efforts for the past year.
He said: "It has been a great year for the community council. Members have contributed to all sorts of projects and initiatives, principle among them is Preston Tower.
"Ideally, Tony can work with the new treasurer until he leaves, but I want to take this opportunity to thank him for his time he has invested in Prestonpans Community Council."
