A FUN evening was had by all at a ‘musical bingo’ event organised by a team of young people last week.
Youth charity Recharge, based in Tranent, hosted the quiz night as a fundraiser to help the service to continue its work with those aged 11 to 18 in developing their confidence and life skills.
The charity provides a variety of services, including drop-in evenings, online work, one-to-one support and issue-based group work.
Its ‘Young Formers’ group organised the event, hosted the quiz and set up a raffle.
The night was deemed a success and the youngsters manage to raise £360.
Ryan Moir, Recharge Focus Coordinator, said: "The young people have been working extremely hard planning and organising this event for the past few months, so I am absolutely delighted to see their hard work pay off.
"It was fantastic to see the community coming together, whether to donate prizes or to come to the event and support the young people.
"The overall feedback has been very positive, everyone seems to have had a fantastic night, and have really praised the young people for their confidence and hard work."
"I am so unbelievably proud of each and every one of these guys, it was a real team effort and I hope they really feel like they have achieved."
