A POLICE chase saw a stolen motorbike pursued from Whitecraig to near Ormiston.
In a post on social media on Saturday, police highlighted the incident, which took place on Monday.
The post said: "On Monday, October 21, Dalkeith Road Policing officers observed the photographed motorbike being driven at speeds in excess of the speed limit in the Whitecraig area of East Lothian.
"Officers made attempts to stop the vehicle after establishing that the vehicle had been reported stolen; however, the driver failed to comply and a short pursuit followed.
"The pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion near to Ormiston and the motorcycle [was] recovered and reunited with its owner.
"Enquiries are ongoing to identify the rider.
"Police Scotland are committed to making our roads safer and keeping people safe."
