PROGRESS is under way at a new café, bar and restaurant in Musselburgh, as the venue looks towards opening its doors this winter.
Located at 166/174 High Street, Lido is set to offer dishes with a Mediterranean influence, featuring wood-fired pizzas and a dedicated to-go counter.
Company Buzzworks, which is also behind The Herringbone in North Berwick, has begun work on the premises at the former home of an M&Co store.
So far, the ground work has been completed, including the building of partition walls to shape the space into a working kitchen and dining area which will seat up to 130 customers.
Air conditioning and floor drains have also been installed, as well as connection to the mains gas supply, which will power the pizza oven.
A second round of recruitment open days are taking place on Tuesday, 11am-5pm, and Wednesday, between 1pm and 7pm.
Lido is recruiting to fill positions in front of house, bar and kitchen, with both full-time and part-time roles available.

Colin Blair, chairman at Buzzworks, said: "It’s a great moment for Buzzworks to see the progress at Lido Musselburgh and begin installations for our soon-to-open 21st venue.
“With the building really starting to take shape and our recruitment drive in full swing, we’re getting closer to welcoming our guests into what will be a vibrant and stylish space for the whole community.”
An exact date for the opening of the new eatery has not yet been confirmed, but Buzzworks said that it would be "opening this winter".
