A BID for a Premier store in the centre of Dunbar has moved forward.
East Lothian Council has given planning permission, listed building consent and advertising consent to Shivakumar Kandaswamy for the property on the town’s High Street.
No objections were submitted regarding any of the three applications.
Previously, Mr Kandaswamy told the Courier that nearly £300,000 would be spent on transforming the former Turnbull’s Home Hardware.
The business, which will be open seven days a week, is expected to feature produce from throughout East Lothian.
Mr Kandaswamy currently operates both the Day-Today and Haddington Wines and Whiskies on Haddington High Street.
