A TEENAGER has avoided a jail sentence after he was caught breaking into two homes and stealing vehicles and items from within the properties.
Logan Wales broke into one home on Edinburgh’s Baberton Mains Green and took two sets of keys to vehicles parked outside.
Wales then used the stolen keys to drive the cars away, all on January 21 last year.
Wales, 19, also broke into a property on the Capital’s Bowbridge Crescent and made off with a pair of shoes, a bag and a watch.
Wales, of Affleck Rise, Wallyford, pleaded guilty to four offences during a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on September 17.
He returned for sentencing last week, where he was placed on a community payback order by Sheriff Charles Walls.
Wales was placed under the supervision of the local social work department for 18 months and was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work.
