A MUSSELBURGH man will be sentenced next month after he admitted threatening to fight with police officers.
Scott Hutchison, of Ashgrove Place, was arrested on a separate matter and placed in the back of a police vehicle on September 26 last year.
During the journey to St Leonard’s Police Station in Edinburgh, Hutchison, 42, was said to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing.
He also made offensive and derogatory remarks to police officers and threatened to fight with them during the journey to the station.
The offence was committed after Hutchison had been granted bail at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on August 24 last year.
Hutchison pleaded guilty to the offence at the city centre court earlier this year and sentence was deferred to November 25.
