A BURST water pipe in Haddington has caused some residents to be left without water, but repair work is expected to be completed by about 2.30pm this afternoon.
A resident posted on social media that they "woke up to no water this morning".
The burst pipe on Davidson Terrace led to "a loss of water supply/low pressure in the EH41 postcode", which Scottish Water began investigating at about 9.05am.
Scottish Water posted an update at 11.20am outlining the cause of the water supply issues and noting that the burst pipe "may cause some traffic disruption whilst repairs are ongoing".
Prentice bus service 111 has been impacted by the issue and is diverted via A199 Haldane Avenue until further notice.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: "We are currently repairing a burst water pipe on Davidson Terrace in Haddington.
"We have operatives on site carrying out a repair, and the estimated time for completion is around 2.30pm.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers."
The website notes that the water supply will gradually return to normal for customers once the repair has been completed.
