THE Beacon lunch club in North Berwick celebrated its 30th anniversary earlier this month.
Started by Janet Raeburn and Jean Hutchison, The Beacon provides locals and visitors a place to eat, drink, relax and meet new friends, supplying lunches at St Andrew Blackadder Church every Thursday for £5, with all proceeds going to charity.
On the grand occasion on October 12, marking the club's three decades of existence, 65 past and present volunteers had lunch at the Glen Golf Club together.

Jenny Kellock, current chair, spoke to the assembled volunteers and said: "It’s great to see you all here today to celebrate 30 years of The Beacon.
"And the past 30 years have only been possible because of all of you and your commitment and hard work.
"There are others unable to join with us today and many who are no longer with us, who we fondly remember and pay tribute to.
"A special mention for Jean Hutchison, who is no longer with us, who, together with Janet Raeburn, had the vision of The Beacon.
"You will have many memories to share over lunch."
