DANCING feet could soon be strutting their stuff – in complete silence.
Haddington Events Group is exploring the possibility of adding an adult silent disco to Haddington Festival.
The event, like a traditional disco, encourages people to get their boogie on.
But, rather than music being played over a speaker system, it is instead transmitted through wireless headphones.
The summer's attraction has proved popular with youngsters and could now be expanded to include one for the bigger kids.
Councillor George McGuire, who heads up the events group, said: “Every year during festival week, they have a silent disco for the kids and it is sold out.
“I think, from what I am told, they have to hire the equipment for the weekend.
“What we thought was it seems to be becoming a popular thing and may look to hold one for adults on another night.
“If we get it for the weekend, it could be kids on the Saturday and adults on the Friday.”
Discussions about the idea are still in the early stages, with the Corn Exchange identified as a potential venue.
