DANCING feet could soon be strutting their stuff at a building in Macmerry Industrial Estate.
Classes for budding dancers from the age of three are planned at the studio.
East Lothian Council approved the change of use from class four – business – to assembly and leisure for MOSCAR LLP.
Details included in the planning officer’s report noted that the business would be open five days a week and involve up to 10 students per class.
The facility would not be open on a Wednesday or a Sunday.
The officer’s report reads: “In terms of staff numbers, it would provide employment for the tenant operator plus two self-employed dance teachers.
“Two volunteers will also be appointed under the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards Scheme.
“Dance classes will comprise children between the starting ages of three to five years rising incrementally to those over 12 years of age.”
No objections were received from members of the public.
