A NEW takeaway restaurant looking for ‘a slice’ of the action on Musselburgh High Street has been given the go-ahead.
Glenshire Group has been given permission to change 158 High Street into a hot food takeaway.
Drawings included with the application, which was given the green light by East Lothian Council, are titled ‘Pizza Hut Shop Alterations’.
No objections were received from members of the public regarding the application.
Drawings included with the application show a customer area on the ground floor alongside an oven, kitchen area and storage.
Upstairs would feature toilets and a staff room.
The creation of signs advertising the business would require a separate planning application.
According to the Glenshire Group's website: "Glenshire Group are a Scottish family-owned conglomerate based in Fife.
"The group was established in 2020 to consolidate various existing business interests spanning multiple sectors including retail (Greens Retail), frozen drinks (Skwishee), property development (Glenshire Developments), and Pizza Hut franchises."
Currently, the nearest Pizza Hut branch is at Fort Kinnaird.
