AN EVENT which brought together people from different cultures and charities will return next year.
Knox Academy held its first ever diversity evening in February last year.
Now, it has been confirmed that the event will return next spring.
Robert Flood, curriculum leader – social subjects at the Haddington secondary school, made the announcement at a meeting of Haddington and District Community Council.
He said: “We are having our biennial diversity event.
“It will be on March 6, 2025, in the school.
“We will have more details as we become aware of them.”

Following last year’s event, Sue Cook, headteacher at the school, described it as “an amazing event”.
She said: “The array of workshops were a huge success and all who took part said how much they had enjoyed them – learning something new and having fun.
“It was so nice to see families coming together to take part in these too.
“The marketplace [we had] had so many diverse aspects, from charities such as Guide Dogs for the Blind, Sight Scotland, East Lothian Council Countryside Rangers looking at biodiversity and many local producers selling their produce.”
The food court offered a selection of Italian, Indian and Scottish cuisine.
Sir Geoff Palmer, Professor Emeritus and Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University, was among the guest speakers.
