A ‘SPOOKACULAR’ time is in store as The Brunton presents music and film for Halloween.
While unable to present events at the Musselburgh theatre, which is currently closed following a roof survey, the Brunton Theatre Trust is taking its arts and entertainment programme to other venues in Musselburgh and Haddington.
The second instalment of Tim Burton’s classic Beetlejuice will be screened at Loretto Theatre in Musselburgh on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
Winona Ryder returns as Lydia as her life is turned around when teenage daughter Astrid accidentally opens the portal to the afterlife.
Also at Loretto Theatre, The Addams Family musical theatre production can be enjoyed from Thursday, October 31, to Saturday, November 2, at 7.30pm. This is staged by a community cast supported by a professional production team.
The Brunton is “delighted” to have Classical Musicians Scotland Orchestra perform alongside some “talented” singers in A Night at the Opera at Northesk Parish Church next Thursday (October 24) at 7.30pm.
A Brunton spokesperson said: “The evening promises a programme of favourite operatic melodies to delight both the musical connoisseur and those new to the delights of opera music.”
In Haddington, Talon will be bringing their To The Limit Tour to the Corn Exchange this Saturday at 7.30pm. The audience can enjoy Eagles’ timeless back catalogue, including hits such as Hotel California and Take it Easy.
Fans can honour ‘the Boss’ himself at The Springsteen Sessions next Friday (October 25) at 7.30pm at the Corn Exchange. Led by singer Dougie Robertson, they can enjoy all Bruce Springsteen’s hits, including Born in the USA, Rosalita and Dancing in the Dark.
