A FAMILIAR face in the community has taken over the position of chairperson at Tranent and Elphinstone Community Council (TECC).
Key roles were discussed at the group’s annual general meeting, which took place on Tuesday.
Robert McNeill, a former East Lothian councillor, has been associated with TECC since 1990 and is now taking over as chairperson from Mike Falconer after he decided it was time to move on.

The group’s current secretary Angela Martin is stepping down from the position after her final meeting next month, with her replacement still to be decided.
Neil Ellis and Joan Ramsay were elected to continue in their roles as vice-chair and treasurer respectively.
The community council meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7pm in Tranent Day Centre, with every fourth meeting hosted in Elphinstone Community Centre.
The final meeting of the year will take place on Tuesday, November 19, in Tranent.
