A NIGHT-TIME walk to raise funds for lifesaving research into cancer will take place in Dunbar.
The town already has a Relay for Life event which collects money for Cancer Research UK.
Now, a Shine Local Walk will take place on December 6 in the town.
Walkers will set off from Hallhill at 6pm and cover 5km around the town.
It is £15 per person and children under-16 can take part free of charge, with all money raised going to the charity.
A spokesperson for the event said: “This is the first year we’re hosting Shine Local and it’s an opportunity to bring hope, light and laughter to home towns across the UK.
“We hope it will be a start of an annual Christmas tradition to kick start our Relay years off.”
More information about the fundraiser will be released in the coming weeks.
