AN EXPANDING resort in the heart of East Lothian has joined fast-growing European back-to-nature holiday brand Landal GreenParks UK.
Whitekirk Hill Resort, which launched in 2019, offers a range of luxury self-catering lodges for up to 10 people alongside onsite facilities including a restaurant, leisure club, luxury spa, a bespoke children’s play barn, outdoor play park and 140 acres of dog-friendly grounds to explore.
Andy Wilkie, director at Whitekirk Hill Resort, said: “We believe the UK staycation market continues to grow from strength to strength, offering more value and unique experiences for travellers.
“As a proud family business, we're thrilled to be part of the prestigious Landal GreenParks portfolio, which aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing exceptional getaways in stunning natural settings.”
Guests at Whitekirk Hill Resort can also enjoy a variety of activities and experiences at the resort, including yoga, an onsite running club, and a weekly Parkrun.
The facility, between Whitekirk and Auldhame, also recently welcomed Wild Cairns outdoor activity centre.
“We are thrilled to welcome Whitekirk Hill Resort into the Landal family, further growing our UK footprint in Scotland,” said Robbie Davies, development director of Landal GreenParks UK.
“A Landal GreenParks UK break is all about experiencing the local environment with the luxury touches holidaymakers have come to associate with our brand.
“Whitekirk Hill is the perfect addition to our portfolio, offering guests the opportunity to experience Scotland’s countryside while being just a short drive from the vibrant city of Edinburgh.
“We’re excited to work with the team in creating the next generation of holiday resorts where guests can get away from it all, embrace the great outdoors and really indulge in the variety of a UK staycation.”
Whitekirk Hill Resort aims to grow its capacity by 2030, enhancing the guest experience while supporting local tourism, economy and community.
Landal Whitekirk Hill Resort will join 18 other UK resorts.
