“HIGH-VISIBILITY” rural patrols are being carried out in a bid to deter fish poaching and hare coursing.
Officers from East Lothian Community Action Team (ELCAT), alongside the divisional wildlife crime officer, have been conducting patrols across the county.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At this time of year, the poaching of fish and hare coursing are common examples of wildlife crimes, amongst a number of others.
“If anyone has any information relating to wildlife crime, please use the ‘Contact us’ online form, 101 or ,if ongoing, the use of 999 should be considered.”
