A MAN has been placed on the sex offenders' register after he was seen carrying out a solo sex act in a public place.
Steven Davidson was spotted by two witnesses exposing himself and performing the sex act in public at a section of Prestonpans Beach in June last year.
Davidson, of Sherwood Park, Bonnyrigg, denied the allegation and stood trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Following the evidence from two civilian witnesses, Sheriff Joseph Stewart said that he was finding the accused guilty of the offence.
The sheriff placed Davidson on the sex offenders' register on an interim basis and deferred full sentence to next month.
Davidson was found guilty of committing an offence of public indecency by exposing himself and performing a solo sex act in public at Prestonpans Beach on June 3 last year.
