AN ORMISTON man sent police threatening messages that he would "terrorise" a police station and claiming he had armed himself and would "get revenge", a court has heard.

Jordan Davidson sent two grossly offensive messages to the Professional Standards Department of Police Scotland after claiming that he had received bad service.

Davidson, 33, wrote statements including “still no f***ing call” and called officers “a bunch of f***ing bullies” during the first email at 10.04am on March 24.

He added: “Next step is I’m going to terrorise Musselburgh Police Station. I’m going to bully them officers.

“I’ll follow them home and make them alarmed at their own homes and see how it feels.

“If you think I’m joking, this is no joke. Youse have started something, not me. I will have the last laugh, that’s for sure.”

Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told that Davidson sent a second message at 10.10am on the same day stating: “Because of you and your behaviour, I have armed myself in my house.

“Youse let it get to this point, not me. I’m not going to stop till I get my revenge. Think it’s funny? I’ll show you what’s funny.”

The court was told that Davidson, of the village’s Park Road, was currently under the conditions of a community payback order previously imposed for “a similar offence”.

Sheriff Robert Fife said that he would defer sentence for a social work report and restriction of liberty order assessment to next month.

Sheriff Fife then warned Davidson that “all options are open to the court” when he returned to the dock for sentencing.

Davidson pleaded guilty to sending emails to the Professional Standards Department of Police Scotland that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character and did repeatedly utter threats of violence at his home on March 24.
