UPGRADES to the sewer network in Dunbar will result in a month-long road closure.
Work on the town’s Elder Street gets under way on Monday and is expected to last four weeks.
During that time, a section of the street will be closed at its northern end.
Scottish Water has sent out a letter to residents highlighting the plans and the diversion that will be in place.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: “This work is scheduled to start on the week commencing Monday, October 14, and will last approximately four weeks.
“To enable the works to be completed safely, during this time a section of Elder Street will be closed to all public vehicles.
“Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Brewery Lane.
“Pedestrian access to properties within the road closure will be maintained; however, parking within this area will not be permitted.
“We appreciate the traffic management will cause some disruption for residents and road users but can only thank them in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work to maintain the local sewer network.”
