IMPORTANT dates have been confirmed for next year's Cockenzie and Port Seton Gala, with nominations for the popular community event closing soon.
Last year, Rebecca Ough and Lewis Bisset were crowned king and queen on gala day.
Now, the date for 2025 edition of gala day has been confirmed to be May 31.
Submissions for youngsters wanting to take part in the gala need to be in by October 31, with picking night taking place on November 15.

The newly appointed chair of the Cockenzie and Port Seton Gala committee spoke with the Courier about how excited she was about next year's event.
Megan McDonald, 28, said: "I’m thrilled to be the chair of this year’s Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Gala Committee.
"Having grown up here and being a proud member of this amazing community, I’m excited to help create a fantastic day for everyone.
"I can’t wait to see all the kids take part in the tradition that is our gala."
Jackie Muller, secretary of Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Council, said: "We are delighted the tradition will continue."
