SENIOR pupils at Haddington’s secondary school are being given the chance to potentially help save a life.
The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service will visit Knox Academy on November 14.
Robert Flood, curriculum leader – social subjects at the school, spoke about the upcoming visit with members of Haddington and District Community Council.
He said: “We are trying to get as many S6 pupils as possible to sign up to give blood on that day.
“Hopefully, that means they become regular blood donors in the future.
“We used to do that before Covid but Covid put a halt to all those things.”
