AN “EMOTIONAL piece of music” will fill St Mary’s Parish Church on Remembrance Sunday.
In honour of the 80th birthday of Sir Karl Jenkins, the Garleton Singers are performing the evocative Mass for Peace The Armed Man on November 10.
The performance is at 7.30pm and tickets cost £15 (students £8, children £3) with all proceeds being donated to poppyscotland.
A spokesperson for the Garleton Singers said: “This wonderfully emotional piece of music is a truly modern classic.
“It was first performed at the Royal Albert Hall in April 2000 and had its 3,000th performance in the same venue in March.
“Now the Garleton Singers have brought it back to Haddington.”
