A MAN who drove a vehicle while he was more than two-and-a-half times over the drink-driving limit then threatened sexual violence against a police officer and his family.
Dino Husic was found to be using the vehicle with 58mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath on Market Street, Haddington, on February 9; the legal limit is 22mg.
Husic was then arrested by police officers and, during the journey to St Leonard’s Police Station in Edinburgh, he began to act in an aggressive manner.
Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told that the 33-year-old made repeated threats of violence and sexual violence towards PC Stuart Foster and his family.
The court also heard that Husic made derogatory and offensive remarks, and repeatedly spat within the police vehicle during the journey to the Capital.
He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, where he pleaded guilty to both offences.
Sheriff Iain Nicol issued Husic, of Ravensheugh Road, Musselburgh, with an interim driving ban and deferred full sentence to next month.
