A HADDINGTON man has been banned from driving after he was found to be nearly 10 times the legal limit for having cocaine in his system.
Gary Kerr drove a vehicle with 96mg of the drug per litre of blood on Drummore Drive in Prestonpans on December 23 last year. The legal limit is 10mg.
Kerr, 35, also carried out an assault on a woman by seizing her by the neck and pushing her to the ground to her injury at an address in the town on October 15 last year.
He pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Sheriff John Cook placed Kerr, of Abbots View, on a 12-month supervision order and banned him from driving for 12 months.
