INSPECTORS were full of praise for a nursery in Cockenzie following a recent visit.
Seahorse Nursery, located on Edinburgh Road, was award a 'good' rating for every category it was assessed on during the care inspectors' visit, which took place over two days on July 29 and 30.
The categories assessed were: How good is our care, play and learning? How good is our setting? How good is our leadership? And how good is our staff team?

The inspectors' visit was unannounced and took place while 37 people were being cared for at the facility.
In preparation for the visit, inspectors spoke with and observed children using the service, contacted families and staff to gather their views, spoke with staff and management, observed practice and daily life, and reviewed documents.
In the report, which has now been published, they noted that they "observed positive relationships between children and staff, with lots of warm, nurturing and caring interactions".
And they added: "Staff had worked hard to make mealtimes an extremely positive experience for children.
"Children were happy and engaged in their play and learning experiences throughout our visit.
"The manager had worked hard to ensure quality assurance, self-evaluation and improvement planning were developed and it was beginning to have a positive impact on the outcomes for children and families.
"Staff appraisals should take place to identify the professional development needs of the staff team."
