SPEED checks on busy roads near Haddington’s schools will continue.
Issues with speeding along West Road – which is home to The Compass School – and at the crossing near Peachdales have been raised with police.
Constable Kiera Edmond highlighted that the matter had been raised at a recent community and police partnership (CAPP) meeting.
In a report to Haddington and District Community Council, which met on Tuesday, she said: “I have been doing weekly patrols where possible in the area and have had the speed gun out too.
“I will continue to do patrols along with the school link officer to hopefully reduce the speeding issues, as well as attending at the restricted zones.”
