‘MEETINGS with moths – 100 years of moth recording in East Lothian’ is the title of a talk in Haddington next week.
Ecologist Katty Baird will speak to East Lothian Antiquarian and Field Naturalists’ Society next Saturday (October 19) in the town’s Holy Trinity Church.
Nearly 100 years ago, Alice Blanche Balfour published a detailed account of butterflies and moths of East Lothian in the society’s journal transactions.
Following on from this, Katty continues to record and document the important insects.
In her talk, which starts at 2.30pm, she will introduce the audience to this world.
Non-members are welcome, with a modest cash donation appreciated.
