A MOTORIST has been stopped allegedly driving at more than 70mph outside Queen Margaret University.
Roads police were carrying out speed enforcement on the A1 near the Musselburgh university.
The speed limit on that section of the A1 is 50mph.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Two offences were detected.
“One driver issued a roadside ticket for travelling at 65mph and another driver reported to Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service for travelling at 74mph.”
