A PRESTONPANS resident will be sentenced later this month after he admitted to carrying out an abusive course of conduct against his partner over five years.
Mihail Kostadinov appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday, where he lodged a guilty plea to an amended charge of behaviour regarding domestic abuse.
Fiscal depute Mark Keane told the court that the Crown was in the process of preparing a written narrative concerning all the incidents and said that the document would be ready to be read out in open court at the sentencing hearing.
Sheriff Joseph Stewart agreed to defer sentence for the narration to be produced and for the preparation of social work reports to October 24.
Kostadinov, of Moodie Wynd, pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of abusive behaviour towards his former partner by repeatedly shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner and uttering offensive remarks at addresses on Moir Avenue and High Street, both Musselburgh.
The 36-year-old also repeatedly contacted the woman and on one occasion struck her to the head and attempted to kick her on the body, all between April 1, 2019, and March 11 this year.
The offences were prosecuted under section one of the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2008.
