A TEENAGER has appeared in court after he acted aggressively towards his ex-girlfriend.
Rio Smith repeatedly shouted, swore and made offensive remarks towards his former partner at a property in Haddington.
Smith also kicked a chair against a wall within the home and refused to leave when requested to do so on July 21.
After leaving the house on the town’s Davids Way, the 18-year-old then returned and entered the home without permission before taking a phone away with him.
Smith, of South Seton Park, Port Seton, has now been banned from having any contact with the woman after a sheriff issued him with a six-month non-harassment order.
The teenager was also ordered to pay a total fine of £625 to mark the offence, which was aggravated by abuse of his partner.
Smith pleaded guilty to the domestic abuse offence when he appeared in front of Sheriff Francis Gill at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday.
