TIME is running out for a fireworks display to be organised in Haddington.
The annual event, which takes place off the town’s Whittingehame Drive, has been organised by Lorraine Dickson and Betty Gibson for a number of years.
However, “due to unforeseen circumstances”, it looks unlikely that a display will take place this year.
Any organised display would need to go through East Lothian Council’s Safety Advisory Group (SAG).
A spokesperson for the local authority confirmed that they had not been approached by organisers about any display in the town this year.
