HOPES have been raised that reports of anti-social behaviour at John Muir Country Park will have died down after pupils returned to school.
Constable Laura Jackson sent a report to West Barns Community Council which highlighted that there had been “a few reports” of anti-social behaviour in the area.
Extra patrols had since been carried out in the area to try to deal with the problem.
The report noted it was hoped that anti-social behaviour in the area would reduce as youngsters were at school and as the darker nights came in.
The officer highlighted incidents that had taken place in the village, with four crimes reported during August.
That included the possession of an offensive weapon, theft and driving while unfit to do so.
Constable Jackson also hopes to attend a community council meeting in the near future.
