A WINTER appeal has been launched in Prestonpans for items to help residents in need through the cold months ahead.
From gloves and socks to jars full of coffee, there are many items included on the Amazon wish list for the appeal, which is being organised by Prestonpans Community Centre in collaboration with the Pennypit Family & Learning Centre.
Alternatively, generous people can also donate hats, gloves, scarfs, hot water bottles, warm socks, Christmas puddings, biscuits, tea and coffee, and small gifts sets in person by dropping them off at both of the centres.
Prestonpans Community Centre is located on Preston Road, while the Pennypit Centre is situated on Rope Walk.
On social media, Prestonpans Community Centre, said: "Winter is fast approaching and we’re starting our winter 2024/25 support campaign.
"This year is going to be just as difficult as last year; with the price of heating homes going up and support slowly being withdrawn, we’re here to help, as no one should be going cold this winter.
"Every little helps. Even buying one hot water bottle from our wish list helps us to reach as many in the community this coming winter."
On social media, the Pennypit Family & Learning Centre, said: "We are teaming up with our sister centre to collect items for our most vulnerable in the communities through the PSG.
"Drop-off points are available at the centres."
