PLANS to transform a long-closed pub into commercial units and two flats have been withdrawn.
Proposals to convert the former Golf Tavern, on Musselburgh’s Millhill, were lodged with East Lothian Council’s planning department in the spring.

However, last week it was confirmed that the application had been withdrawn.
The Courier has tried to contact the agent for Esk Homes Ltd to clarify what the future holds for the site.
The now-withdrawn application showed plans for commercial units on the ground floor, with two one-bedroom flats located above.
The last owner of the pub building was Loretto School, which used it for storage.
A scheme to convert the site to provide a teaching facility for Loretto School Golf Academy was approved five years ago but never implemented.
The original building dates back to the mid-1800s.
A heritage asset, design and access statement, included with the planning application, stated that the building “would lend itself” to a mixed use development.
It read: “The site requires significant investment to return it into a sound state of repair and improve its energy efficiency.
“Further, it has suffered as a result of lack of use and maintenance.
“The site is located in a mixed use area and is in close proximity to amenity services at Musselburgh town centre.”
