AN 86-YEAR-OLD woman has been taken to hospital by helicopter following a road accident in Port Seton this morning.
Emergency services were called out to near Seton Sands Holiday Park following the 10.50am incident, which involved a car and a pedestrian.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.50am on Sunday, 22 September, 2024 we were made aware of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in the Seton Sands area of Port Seton.
"The pedestrian, an 86-year-old woman, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by air ambulance with serious injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing."

A passer-by told the Courier: "I just know that an ambulance left with a police escort then I tracked the chopper on flight radar and it went to the hospital in Edinburgh."
Traffic on the B1348 coast road was halted to allow the air ambulance to land on the carriageway.
