SPECSAVERS will officially welcome its first customers in Haddington on Saturday morning.
The national chain, which has more than 900 branches across the UK, has filled the final unit at Haddington Retail Park.
Already, The Food Warehouse, Home Bargains, Costa Coffee and Starbucks – as well as a petrol station – are based on the on the town’s western edge.
The remaining unit was previously earmarked for a pharmacy but permissions were given for Specsavers, with a sign highlighting the upcoming arrival put in place earlier this month.
Now, a spokesperson for Specsavers has confirmed it will officially open at 10am on Saturday.
The Courier has asked Specsavers how many jobs will be created through the store.
