STAFFING issues have been blamed for the temporary closure of the swimming pool at Dunbar Leisure Pool.
Operators Enjoy Leisure were forced to close the pool last Saturday “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
Bill Axon, chief executive of Enjoy Leisure, which manages a number of sports facilities across East Lothian, highlighted the challenges facing them when it came to staff.
He said: “Like many organisations, despite our best efforts, we're still facing some challenges with recruitment, and this has occasionally led to interruptions in our services, which is a last resort.
“Colleagues are currently going the extra mile to keep any disruption to our customers to an absolute minimum.
