TWO crafters who met at Haddington’s Poldrate Arts & Crafts Centre are starting conversations about sustainability and climate change by putting up banners every week for the last three years.
Della Rae, who lives in Cove, and Marion Black, from Gorebridge, have been tying up their embroidered banners outside North Berwick’s Scottish Seabird Centre every week since Glasgow’s COP26 in 2021.
Della told the Courier: “We try to come every week, certainly in the summer and into the winter, as far as the weather allows.
“It’s about raising awareness and having a conversation about climate issues.
"And sometimes I learn things, and sometimes I hope other people go away and think about something that we've talked about. That would be my hope.”
