TWENTY-THREE dedicated walkers have raised about £700 for Christian Aid.
Members of churches from throughout Haddington came together on Saturday to complete the six-mile walk.
The route was arranged by St Mary’s Parish Church’s walking group and set off from the Sidegate church.
From there, the walkers made their way alongside the River Tyne and on to the Lennoxlove Estate.
A stop was enjoyed at Amisfield Walled Garden before finishing at the Trinity Centre, where walkers were met with bunting and refreshments.
Gail Craven, local Christian Aid organiser for Haddington Churches, was pleased to say that the event was a success.
She told the Courier that money was still coming in but they had raised about £700.
She added: “Thanks to everyone who walked or sponsored us, and to our organising team.”
