A CRASH on the A1 in East Lothian is causing delays this afternoon.
The incident happened at about 1.20pm near to Macmerry on the eastbound (southbound) carriageway.
A report of the incident on the Traffic Scotland website stated: "The A1 southbound is restricted at Macmerry due to a road traffic incident. Motorists are advised to approach with caution."
Drivers have reported long delays following the accident, which it is believed involved two vehicles.
It is not currently known whether anyone was injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on the A1 near Macmerry around 1.20pm on Saturday, September 14.
“Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
“Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact 101, quoting reference 1775 of September 14.”
