NEWHAILES House Gardens is the topic of discussion at the next open lecture of East Lothian U3A.
The meeting takes place in Dunbar’s St Anne’s Church on October 1.
Colin Wren, gardens and designed landscapes manager (National Trust for Scotland, Edinburgh and East), will give an overview of the Musselburgh garden through time.
During the talk, he will highlight how it has evolved and at the same time retained many of its original features.
Maps and period documents will be used to illustrate the various stages of development and how they might be used to inform the future management of the site.
The group meets at the church at 2.30pm.
