FOUR weeks of roadworks on one of Dunbar’s busiest roads are due to get under way on Monday.
Three phases of works are planned for Spott Road as resurfacing works are carried out.
A letter highlighting the works states: “The works will be undertaken in phases to minimise disruption.
“In order to undertake the works safely, it will be necessary to close the road to vehicular traffic during phase three of the works.
“Emergency vehicle access and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.”
The first phase of works takes place from Monday to Thursday at the Kellie Road Roundabout and will be carried out under temporary traffic lights.
The second phase, from Spott Road Industrial Estate to Lochend Road, is due to start next Tuesday (September 17) and run until the end of the week.
Again, the works will be carried out under temporary traffic lights.
Finally, works will be carried out between Lochend Road and Bellevue Avenue.
The works, which will run from September 23 to October 4, will see the road closed and a diversion in place via the A1087 and A1.
