POLICE are attempting to trace the driver of a car following a crash in Tranent this morning.

A vehicle crashed into two cars which were parked on the town’s High Street, causing damage to all three vehicles.

Police officers attended at the scene after being notified of the incident, which took place at about 6.30am; no injuries were sustained as a result of the crash.

The car was left at the side of the road and police are working to trace the driver.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “About 6.30am on Friday, September 6, we were called to a report of a car having crashed into two parked cars on High Street, Tranent.

“Officers attended and there were no injuries reported.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the car.”
