EAST Lothian will be left with just one TSB when the Haddington branch closes its doors today (Thursday).
The banking giants made the announcement earlier this year that they would be closing more than 35 branches throughout September.
The closure will leave Musselburgh as the home of the only TSB branch in the county.
At the time of the announcement in May, a TSB spokesperson said that “the way customers bank with us is changing”.
Despite that, the news was met with criticism by both local councillors and the town’s community council.

The TSB spokesperson said: “Over 95 per cent of transactions are now being made using mobile, online and other ways to bank, instead of in our branches.
“And more customers than ever are using our video and telephone banking service.
“We remain committed to face-to-face services across the country, and over 90 per cent of our customers are within a 20-minute drive to a branch, or location of a Money Confidence Expert.
“But we want our services to reflect the current and future needs of our customers and keep open branches that are used the most, so sometimes this means that we have to close some branches.”
Haddington’s Clydesdale Bank closed 10 years ago, with the TSB closure leaving Court Street with only two banks: the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Bank of Scotland.
TSBs connection to the town stretches back at least 70 years.
Councillor George McGuire, ward member, previously outlined his disappointment at the decision to close.
Speaking on Tuesday afternoon, he said: "I suppose I am disappointed and ashamed, following the closures around the county.
"It is just another nail in the coffin for the banking service."
Mr McGuire highlighted the number of bank closures across the county, with 13 banks - six Royal Bank of Scotland branches, three TSB, two Bank of Scotland, one Clydesdale Bank and one Virgin Money - having shut their doors in just over a decade.
North Berwick's Bank of Scotland branch is also due to close next summer.
TSB have been approached for a comment about the future of the building and what will happen to staff employed in Haddington.
